Me interesa estudiar los efectos de las actividades humanas sobre la biodiversidad, utilizando a las aves como modelos de ecofisiología, migración y adecuación biológica. Las principales áreas de trabajo son los humedales y estuarios australes, así como las granjas de camarón del pacífico americano. Dirijo la Estación Estuarial Quempillén (Chiloé).
